Video - Get increased horsepower and torque from the Spectre 9034 intake system

Get an increase in horsepower on your Ford F150 with 2.7L or 3.5L Ecoboost engine using the Spectre 9034 air intake system. This system features a high quality polished aluminum air intake tube and Spectre reusable performance air filter. In addition, it comes with a custom coated steel heat shield which is designed to help isolate the intake air from engine heat.

The Spectre 9034 air intake system is designed to add horsepower and torque on 2015 through 2017 Ford F150s with 2.7-liter or 3.5-liter Ecoboost engines.

The Spectre air intake system adds great looks, sound and performance to your truck. This air intake comes with all components needed for an easy installation, along with detailed installation instructions. The tools needed are shown:
  • 5/16” or 8mm nut driver
  • 7mm nut driver

  • Disconnect the negative battery cable terminal.
  • Loosen the clamp that secures the intake tube to the air box lid.
  • Loosen the clips found on the air filter lid then slide it forward to clear the locking tabs.
  • Remove the air box lid and air filter.
  • Assemble the heat shield with the tabs placed on the inside of the heat shield.
  • Install the trim onto the edges of the heat shield.
  • Place the velocity stack adapter in the heat shield and install the provided flex coupler. Tighten the clamp with the adapter and coupler tight against the heat shield.
  • Install the Spectre air filter and tighten the clamp.
  • Install the intake tube into the angled coupler and secure it in place.
  • Insert the tabs on the heat shield into the lower factory air box and slide the Spectre intake tube into the factory intake tube. Then secure the heat shield with the factory air box clips and tighten the hose clamp on the stock intake tube.
  • Lastly, reconnect the vehicle’s negative battery cable. Double check to make sure everything is tight and properly positioned before starting the vehicle and check periodically for realignment, clearance, and tightening of all connections. Failure to follow the installation instructions or proper maintenance may void your warranty.
