On Friday, the first day of the Goodguys Autocross, the course was technical with a lot of cars making contact with cones sending them flying throughout the day. At the end of the first session, the man on top was Kyle Tucker who forfeited his win due to prior commitments. This moved Spectre Performance sponsored Chris Smith and the 48 Hour Corvette up to 3rd place for the day.

Saturday, day two, track officials made a few changes to the course for the second session and the standings board was wiped clean. The second session's competition was even stiffer than the first as the sun beat down on the track. Chris Smith powered the Spectre Performance equipped 48 Hour Corvette into the 3rd place overall by the end of day‘s action. Chris Smith’s finish earned him an invitation for the Goodguys’ November finals.
