The Spectre Performance equipped RideTech Suspension 1972 C3 48 Hour Corvette piloted by Chris Smith was at it again in Indiana for the Goodguys Autocross event. The three-day event, held at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, was split into two Autocross sessions allowing double the points and double the Pro Class and Shootout invitations. The entire weekend was full of great weather allowing for a ton of runs with the only interruption being the daily lunch breaks.
On Friday, the first day of the Goodguys Autocross, the course was technical with a lot of cars making contact with cones sending them flying throughout the day. At the end of the first session, the man on top was Kyle Tucker who forfeited his win due to prior commitments. This moved Spectre Performance sponsored Chris Smith and the 48 Hour Corvette up to 3rd place for the day.
Saturday, day two, track officials made a few changes to the course for the second session and the standings board was wiped clean. The second session's competition was even stiffer than the first as the sun beat down on the track. Chris Smith powered the Spectre Performance equipped 48 Hour Corvette into the 3rd place overall by the end of day‘s action. Chris Smith’s finish earned him an invitation for the Goodguys’ November finals.
