The Spectre Performance equipped RideTech Suspension 1972 C3 48 Hour Corvette piloted by Chris Smith came out of the Midwest Musclecar Challenge presented by Bowler Performance Transmission and Royal Purple with good results. The weather was rather nice all weekend with only a small shower around midday both days causing short delays. The RideTech 48 Hour Corvette was on track along with a group of other RideTech sponsored competitors.

The first part of the Midwest Musclecar challenge took place at Putnam Park Road Course in Greencastle, Indiana on Friday, May 29th. The road course action on Friday consisted of competitors being grouped into three run groups according to talent / experience. Chris Smith, in the Spectre Performance equipped RideTech Suspension 1972 C3 48 Hour Corvette, was able to lay down the vintage class' fastest lap time while running in the advanced run group.

Chris Smith with Spectre equipped 48 Hour Corvette finished the Midwest Musclecar Challenge Autocross in Terre Haute, Indiana in 4th place

The Autocross portion of the Midwest Musclecar Challenge presented by Bowler Performance Transmission and Royal Purple took place the next day on a tire hungry concrete pad at the airport in Terre Haute, Indiana. The runs were fast and the competition was close all day long. After lunch the top 10 times across the entire field were brought in for a Shootout. Chris Smith, in the Spectre Performance equipped RideTech Suspension 1972 C3 48 Hour Corvette, was included in the first round and Chris was able to move on to the top 5 following his run. Each competitor was given three runs and the lowest compiled total time was used to determine the winner. Chris Smith and the Spectre equipped 48 Hour Corvette finished the Midwest Musclecar Challenge Autocross in 4th place.

The RideTech Suspension gang will be attending two events this upcoming weekend. The first will be the Goodguys' Indy Nationals in Indianapolis, Indiana as well as the Optima Search for the Ultimate Street Car at NCM Motorsports Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
