The Spectre 2011-2014 Ford F150 3.5L EcoBoost V6 air intake system is equipped with a red-media Spectre High Performance Racing (HPR) universal cone air filter. The HPR synthetic air filters used in Spectre Performance intakes is designed for high airflow without sacrificing engine protection. A Spectre HPR performance air filter is manufactured using high quality materials throughout, including a pre-dyed synthetic filter media that will not fade, top quality urethane, and steel mesh. Spectre High Performance Racing air filters are pre-oiled and ready to use. A Spectre HPR reusable air filter can be serviced when dirty, using part number 884820, and used again.

This air intake system uses a high quality polished aluminum intake tube to direct air into the engine. Spectre Performance air intake 9978 also includes a heat shield, finished in a textured black powder coat, to help reduce the amount of hot air entering the air filter. This intake includes all necessary components and can be installed using basic hand tools for a true bolt on performance upgrade.

When dyno tested with Spectre air intake 9978 a 2014 Ford F150 3.5L V6 EcoBoost gained an estimated 9 more horsepower at 4,500 RPM and 14.7 lb-ft of torque at 2,982 RPM

On the dyno, Spectre air intake 9978 showed an estimated gain of 9 more horsepower at 4,500 RPM and 14.7 lb-ft of torque at 2,982 RPM.
