About Spectre Performace

Fellow GearHead,

In 1983 I started out selling NylaBraid™, a simple hose covering, out of my parent’s garage because I needed money to buy parts for my 1967 Camaro Convertible (which I ended up selling anyway, so I could keep the company going).

Things have changed since then. I still spend most of my money on cars, which means I have a lot more cars (you would too, right?). We stopped selling Nylabraid several years ago, and now offer a wide assortment of trick, unique, and highly innovative products with a level of quality and value unmatched anywhere on earth! This year also kicks off our newest line of brand new performance products under the Speed by Spectre™ brand. We're the only company on earth bringing you ProFab™ Muscle Car Cold Air Intakes. These are designed for Muscle Cars from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s. By bringing cold air to the engine they add huge power, like 25 to 50 horsepower, right out of the box, power you can feel every time you step on the gas. Be sure to check out our ever expanding line of Modern Muscle Cold Air Intakes, many of which are California legal with a CARB Exempt status and an EO#. We're also launching our hpR® Air Filter line, the only horsepower and CFM rated air filters in the world. We have drop-in replacement and racing air filters that are washable and reusable, have a lifetime warranty and with flow and filtration as good if not better than any other filter out there, all for a price that's just a few dollars more than an ordinary paper filter.

Most of our 25 employees are hard core GearHeads, like me. We have Mopar fanatics, true-blue FoMoCo worshippers, a slew of GM guys (mostly Chevy and one Pontiac nut) as well as truck guys (lifted and lowered), import freaks, and so on.

Take a look at our garage of company cars, half of which are torn down or getting built or rebuilt at any given moment, while the other half are being pounded on daily, and I mean pounded! Don't take my word for it; check out the stack of speeding tickets that look like a bunch of orders piled up at your local Diner.

In our Ontario, California facility we have a state of the art chassis dynamometer with diagnostic and emissions testing and performance optimizing capabilities, as well as a top of the line Super-Flow flow bench with airflow, pressure, and velocity measuring capabilities in both intake and exhaust modes, and also a whole bunch of expensive scientific laboratory type equipment, all of which are being used to develop Quality Products that Perform.

This website has in it the most exciting, new, trick and innovative performance products you will see this year. Remember, “It ain¹t braggin’ if it’s true!". Check out our new Speed by Spectre Horsepower Rated Air Intake Systems, Our Muscle Car Cold Air Intake Systems and our Horsepower Rated Washable/Reusable Lifetime Air Filters.

All of our products feature value and benefits that you will appreciate. We know because we use these products every day. I know you will like our performance items a lot because we like them a lot!

Be sure to log on to our forum, provide us some feedback, and check in with your fellow Gearheads. Look for us at Bonneville, where we run our Ferrari F40 (The Heretic) and are seeking two world records in two classes, as well as our SpeedLiner (The Infidel) that we are preparing to run in the unlimited top speed class for gasoline powered cars. We want to be the first gas car ever to exceed 400 MPH. We're also flogging our fleet of company muscle cars all over the country at various track events. We're drivers and we're racers.

Are you a Hot Rodder? Are you a guy who designs, fabricates, welds, paints and upholsters his car in a backyard tool shed all by yourself, or are you someone who writes the checks and has someone else build your car to your specifications? I don't really care. There's a gauge that measures how much of a Hot Rodder you are, it's right in front of you when you drive your car. It's called an odometer. Go to your garage right now and look at your odometer. Does it have a big number on it? The bigger the number on your odometer the more of a Hot Rodder you are in my book.

See you on the highways, byways and racetracks.
